Remodeling this little Scamp was a total labor of love. It required some out of the box and creative thinking to combine functionality, aesthetics and still be light weight enough to tow easily.

First, the old carpet hard to go and in its place went some left over reclaimed flooring I was able to get from a local construction project. After that I replaced the plastic cutting board that was Velcro’d over the hole where the gas stove was removed with a cherry butcher block drop in.

Then came the fun part, the back splash. I wanted to do a specific tile, but didn’t have a good way of attaching it to the curved walls and watched to keep weight in mind. I ended up having a team member draw the tile I wanted in photoshop and cut the pattern into a sheet of plywood on a CNC machine. It created an awesome effect that many people mistake for actual tile.
